CNN's attempt to have it both ways blew up in their faces, "Latino in America" failed to bolster their ratings. Despite the huge publicity the program received, they still came behind MSNBC and Fox News. Compared to "Black in America", ratings for "latino in America" was down a whopping 67% in the demo.
I am not a business expect, but isn't time for CNN to cut Dobbs loose?
The two-part special, which aired Wednesday and Thursday nights from 9-11 PM, drew significantly fewer viewers than the summer's "Black in America," and led the network to third place in both total viewers and the A25-54 demographic both nights.

CNN averaged 880,000 total viewers and 253,000 A25-54 viewers Wednesday, coming in third behind Fox News (2,860,000 total; 826,000 A25-54) and MSNBC (977,000 total; 273,000 A25-54).

Meanwhile Fox News Geraldo threw cold water on rumors linking Lou Dobbs to fox News
Lou Dobbs is almost singlehandedly responsible for creating, for being the architect of the young-Latino-as-scapegoat for everything that ails this country."
As for the chances of Dobbs one day washing ashore at Fox, Rivera told the crowd, "I can tell you proudly, when [Dobbs] was widely rumored to be coming to my network, I called my boss... and he said it's absolutely untrue."

Not a fan of Geraldo but he makes a valid point. CNN cannot have a man who slanders Latinos in the name of immigration debate and expect people to take their documentary seriously.
Co-founder of presente.org, Roberto lavato was absolutely right when he said "A few hours of serious reporting on Latinos by sunny Soledad O'Brien can't make up for thousands of hours of anti-Latino extremism from the dark Lou Dobbs".
